Colma Creek Flood Control Channel Wall Repair Project
This project included the repair and upgrade of a section of the Colma Creek at Spruce Avenue Bridge. The existing concrete wall was removed and replaced with a concrete "U" channel, which created a concrete floor where the existing earthen bottom was. ProVen also replaced the failing walls with new ones. The U-shaped wall construction required temporary support and dewatering. Temporary support was provided by steel sheet piles driven to adequate depths below the excavation. Horizontal bracing for the sheet piles on the channel side was needed due to retained heights of the land side.
